Memphis Tire Recyclers (MTR) is a community-driven sustainability company dedicated to solving the scrap tire crisis, starting right here in Shelby County. Founded by local entrepreneurs David M. Burgess and Corteney B. Mack, MTR is one of only two permitted tire recycling facilities in Tennessee. We partner with local government, businesses, and citizens to clear illegal dumpsites, protect local environments, and divert hazardous rubber waste from our streets.

We don't just dispose of tires; we give them a second life. Through state-of-the-art processing, we transform discarded scrap tires into valuable, sustainable materials—including shock-absorbent crumb rubber for local playgrounds, highly efficient Tire Derived Aggregate (TDA) for infrastructure, and cleaner-burning alternative fuels. Our vision is to be America's most inclusive, proactive tire recycler, proving that environmental cleanup and world-class manufacturing can work hand-in-hand to build a greener Memphis and beyond.
