Jim Torino is a proud Democrat running to represent Tennessee's 9th District in the U.S. House of Representatives. This campaign isn't about politics — it's about creating a path forward for all Tennesseans. A path that includes access to healthcare, great jobs, and affordable housing, and one that saves Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security.
As former Chief Operating Officer of StationMD, a national healthcare company serving individuals with disabilities, Jim delivered compassionate, effective care and advocated for those whose voices are often unheard. His leadership has been driven by a deep understanding of behavioral economics, behavioral health, and technology — skills honed through extensive education and real-world experience.
With an entrepreneurial spirit, Jim has built and led high-growth organizations across various industries, focusing on creating opportunities, driving economic success, and strengthening communities. In 2016, he and his wife Bethany founded The Friend Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the well-being of others — advocating for individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, as well as those recovering from substance addiction or transitioning from incarceration.
Beyond their healthcare and nonprofit work, Jim and Bethany planted LovingKind Fellowship Church in Columbia, TN — a faith-driven community providing encouragement, worship, and support for those seeking hope and guidance.
