Experience Memphis Gardens (EMG), a vibrant initiative of the Cooper-Young Garden Club (CYGC), invites you to explore the hidden horticultural treasures of the Bluff City. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, we're on a mission to transform Memphis into a premier garden tourism destination by showcasing, nurturing, and promoting our diverse urban and suburban green spaces.
Our crown jewel, the 2025 City Wide Garden Walk, is a six-week summer extravaganza that promises to captivate garden enthusiasts from the Mid-South and beyond. This immersive journey takes you through a kaleidoscope of verdant wonders:
- Private Paradises: Peek behind garden gates to discover intimate urban oases and expansive country estates.
- Public Gems: Explore meticulously curated public gardens that serve as green lungs for our city.
- Business Blooms: Witness how local enterprises are greening their footprint with innovative landscaping.
- Community Cultivations: See how neighborhoods come together to create shared green spaces.
- Specialty Gardens: From aromatic cut flower farms to fascinating aquaponic systems and charming railroad gardens, experience the diversity of Memphis' horticultural scene.
At EMG, we believe in the power of gardens to educate, inspire, and transform. Our events are designed to spark creativity, foster learning, and encourage visitors to reimagine their own outdoor spaces. Join us in celebrating Memphis' botanical brilliance and be part of our growing green revolution.
